Emily Farr

Lawyer

Emily Farr is a dedicated lawyer at Wakefield Lawyers, specialising in property law, estate planning, and deceased estates. A proud local, she grew up in Warragul, where she completed her schooling before earning a Bachelor of Laws at Australian Catholic University. During her studies, she gained hands-on experience before completing her Practical Legal Training at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Since joining the firm in 2022, Emily works closely with clients to prepare Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Medical Treatment Decision Makers, and Self-Managed Super Fund’s Binding Death Benefit Nominations. She also collaborates with accountants on complex estate planning matters to ensure her clients’ assets are protected and structured effectively.

Emily also assists families in managing deceased estates, guiding them through the legal process with care and professionalism. Clients value the care and understanding she shows them, and appreciate her prompt and efficient service.

Emily’s expertise extends to property law, including aged care and retirement village contracts, tenants-in-common disputes, caveats, loan agreements, and mortgages.

Though she is based full-time in the Drouin office, Emily is also available for clients in Warragul when needed. She is known for her calm and approachable nature, making even the most complex legal matters easier to understand. She takes great pride in providing clients with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions. She finds immense satisfaction in helping clients work through challenging situations, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their next steps.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, running, travelling with her partner, and watching the footy.

Helping my clients understand their legal options and navigating difficult situations is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to provide clarity and support, so they can move forward with confidence.
