Anne Sim

Anne Sim is a compassionate and highly skilled family lawyer who brings both professional expertise and a deep understanding of regional communities to her practice. Educated locally at Thorpdale Primary School and Chairo Christian School in Drouin, Anne developed a strong interest in family law and social justice during her secondary education. She pursued her legal studies at Monash University in Clayton, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and gained valuable practical experience working in a number of law offices throughout her studies.

Since joining the firm in mid-2016, Anne has built a reputation for her comprehensive knowledge across all aspects of family law. Having grown up in a farming family, she understands firsthand the complexities and challenges often faced by rural clients. This background enables her to offer tailored, practical advice with empathy and insight. Anne regularly assists clients navigating the difficult processes of divorce and separation, always aiming to resolve matters efficiently while minimising stress and conflict.

Anne has a particular interest in parenting and children’s matters and is an accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer. In this role, she is appointed by the court to represent the best interests of children in complex family law proceedings—an area where her calm and considered approach is invaluable.

Her practice also includes property and financial settlements following the breakdown of relationships, where she helps clients achieve fair and equitable outcomes, whether through negotiation or litigation if necessary.

Anne is currently on maternity leave, enjoying this special time with her growing family.
