Piper Hastings

Legal Assistant

Piper Hastings joined the team in 2024 and is currently studying for her Bachelor of Laws at Swinburne University of Technology, with plans to graduate in 2026.

A local to the area, Piper grew up in Garfield and completed her primary school education there before attending Drouin Secondary College. Since joining the firm, she has become an essential part of the reception team, where she provides vital assistance across various practice areas, with a particular focus on estate planning matters with our Lawyers Emily Farr, Rebecca Wooster, and Tessa Hoogerbrugge. Additionally, Piper lends support on occasion to our Family and Criminal law teams, demonstrating her versatility and willingness to contribute to different aspects of the firm’s practice.

Piper’s role sees her as one of the first points of contact for clients, where she is responsible for managing bookings, following up with clients to ensure draft documents are approved, and facilitating any necessary amendments. She is well-versed in explaining the estate planning process to clients, addressing their queries regarding the purpose of various documents and guiding them through the steps involved in initiating the process. Her clear communication and approachable manner ensure that clients feel supported and informed at every stage.

Outside of work, Piper has a strong passion for sports and enjoys attending concerts. She is currently working towards obtaining her athletics coaching accreditation, with the goal of transitioning from athlete to coach.

I love being able to engage with clients, making them feel comfortable with the process, so it is not as scary or overwhelming.
